The playoffs are here in most leagues or at the very least knocking on the door. With that in mind here are my waiver wire picks that will put your team over the top...
LB
Brandon Siler- With Stephen Cooper getting injured last week, Siler stepped in and stepped up in a big way. With 12 tackles he did a fine job as an everydown LB. Against the Chiefs he should have plenty of opportunities to make plays.
Scott Shanle- If this guys is still on you waiver wire now is the time to pick him up. He had a down week against in a bad LB match up, but in his previous 3 games he recorded 22 solos and a FF. Look for him to have a solid week against the Rams.
David Hawthorne- If you gave up on him earlier in the year now is the time to reacquire. He has been tearing it up lately. He has had 29 Solo in the last three weeks alone and added a INT in week 11 to ice the cake. This week's match up against the 49ers may not be the best but look to add him anyway as he should have another solid outing.
DL
Stylez G. White- I know may thought White was going to have a break out year this year and that just hasn't happened. This week against the Redskins should give White his best chance to put up decent numbers against a team that gives up a lot of points to DL. Consider him a one week play.
Israel Idonije- Israel is really developing into an above average lineman for the Bears and he deserves to be on your team. With teams preoccupied with Julius Peppers, Israel gets a little more room to find the QB and get to the ball. New England certainly isn't the most ideal of match ups this week, but this guy is good and should help you in the playoffs.
Lamar Houston- The rookie out of Texas has had a quiet year thus far with a slight uptick in production the last three weeks with 10 Solos and 2 Sacks. His match ups week 14 against the Jags and week 14 against the Broncos make him a sneaky pick in deeper leagues if you need help.
Dan Williams- Williams is a pick up in only very deep leagues at this point. His snaps count has increased as of late and he has produced in making tackles. His upcoming match ups against the Broncos, Panthers and Cowboys should give him more opportunities to put up solid numbers.
DB
Craig Dahl- The Rams SS has been an absolute monster the past 5 weeks accumulating 35 Solos, 1 Int, 1 Sack and 1 FF. If you can find someone on your waiver wire with better production than that at DB your league has problems. Look for him to continue his hot streak against the pass heavy Saints.
Captain Munnerlyn- Captain, not only has an awesome name, he also has a great match up this week against Roddy White and the Atlanta Falcons. Since taking the starting LCB position from Chris Gamble, Captain has broken out with 12 Solos and two INT in the the last two weeks. Look for him to have a solid week working against White
Cortland Finnegan- This is another guy that has put up great numbers this year and is still available in most leagues. Cortland has been a solid tackler with 61 Solos and has added 2 Ints over the season. Look for him to do well in a match up against pass *interception* happy Peyton Manning. Even if Courtland doesn't snag an Int look for him to have plenty of tackling opportunities.
That is it for the week, good luck in week 14. Stayed tunes for further updates.
